These dolls are so special to me. As I create them I think of the lucky kids who will receive them, cuddle them and squeeze them.
My dolls are crafted from a man’s white long sock. Out of one sock the entire doll is created. The dolls clothes are mostly hand sewn. The hair is one complete long strand of yarn, so it can’t be pulled out in small strands.
We don’t all look the same, so the dolls don’t look alike either. All facial expressions are unique. This happens as I embroidered the faces.
I firmly believe that all children should have a soft cuddly doll to identify with. I know young children love and enjoy a personal doll for a long time after their toddler years.
These dolls are available for: $15.00 to $20.00 as a donation to the Sisters of the Holy Family, 159 Washington Blvd. Fremont, CA 94539
