The Sisters of the Holy Family had the opportunity to participate in a Igbo Nigerian liturgy last week when Rev. John Offor and Rev. James Okafor celebrated their 10th Anniversary of ordination to the priesthood. Sr. Gladys Guenther, enthusiastically reported that “the Motherhouse chapel really moved and swayed to the liturgical musical, which included gestures during the presentation of the gifts.” The evening concluded with an ethnic dinner on the convent grounds. Fr. John serves as chaplain to the Sisters of the Holy Family and the Igbo community in the Oakland Diocese.
