This morning, we pause to pray for and remember all those who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy:
More than 100 lives were taken by the storm, on the continent and in Haiti and Cuba. Thousands have been dramatically affected. People have lost their homes to flood and fire. It has devastated coastal communities, especially in New Jersey and New York. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of these people who lost loved ones and/or sustained property damage.
We pray for the people who are leading the critical search and rescue efforts now underway in the Northeast. They have hard work in front of them, we pray for their strength and perseverance, and for their health and safety.
