Good Afternoon,
I would like to share some wonderful news with you. At the most recent Hands Across the Valley Awards Luncheon, sponsored by HandsOn-Central California, several CASA volunteers were recognized for their work in our community.
HandsOn (formerly The Volunteer Center) is a local organization that encourages volunteerism and each year they sponsor this luncheon to recognize volunteers from Central California. This year over forty individuals and organizations were nominated for awards.
I want to offer my heartfelt congratulations to the award winners as follows:
o Advocates Christiana Sweeney and Brenda Watson-Hill were nominated for “Volunteer of the Year.”
o Advocate Joan Litch, SHF was awarded “Outstanding Senior of the Year.”
o Board Member Dr. Dan Griffin was awarded the “Humanitarian” award.
Congratulations to each of you, we celebrate your dedicated advocacy for children in the foster care system.
