He taught me the meaning of what a true Christian person is because he was one himself. John was the kind of person who always had a kind word and a smile on his face, too. I am honest when I tell you that I miss him every day because he was always there for me no matter what the circumstances were. And, yes, John helped me to become closer to God. I do feel his presence and the spirit that he gave me when he was here. John Powers was a wonderful person and great friend. We called each other: "Brothers in Christ."
